Mission
The watertable trust aims to meaningfully contribute to the artistic and cultural flourishing of los angeles. In hopes of becoming a generative source of the intangible and essential elements of cultural wellbeing, the watertable trust will generate projects that reconnect the traditions and visions of the world's religions to contemporary culture. It will do so by undertaking a range of projects that exemplify excellence, hospitality and generosity. Among these projects, the task of identifying, forming, and assisting artists who live and work purposefully by making conscientious, imaginative use of the cultural impact of their work, will be an ongoing priority. Cultivating the conditions that generate artists and art professionals who translate contemporary issues and ideas to challenge the complacency of the status quo in search of more transcendent principles will be the watertable trust's highest and best work for los angeles and our cultural moment.
