At We Are Her, we're transforming young minds through the power of culinary arts. Our unique program integrates culinary education with leadership development, sustainability practices, and wellness initiatives. We empower youth to become conscious leaders while fostering a deep appreciation for sustainable living and personal well-being. Through hands-on cooking sessions, workshops, and culinary challenges, students develop creativity, teamwork, and confidence. This creates a pathway to success for youth that are valuable in various career paths, including culinary arts, hospitality, nutrition, and food entrepreneurship. By teaching essential skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management, our program prepares youth and women for success in the workplace and helps them navigate challenges effectively. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, our program empowers youth and women to explore their passions, build confidence, and embrace leadership roles in the culinary industry and beyond. For aspiring entrepreneurs, our program offers insights into business planning, marketing strategies, financial literacy, and product development, creating a pathway for participants to launch their own culinary ventures. Within the core of our mission lies a steadfast commitment: to amplify leadership, unlock potential, and uplift the voices of women and girls from diverse backgrounds, with a special focus on those in underserved communities. Through our culinary program, we've empowered over 856 students, including youth and women, providing them with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive and succeed in the culinary world and beyond.

Grief is a profoundly personal and challenging journey, particularly when it comes to the loss of a child or the death of a parent or sibling for a young person. Our program Why ME? recognizes the unique needs and experiences of mothers grieving the loss of a child and youth who have lost a parent or a sibling. Our program is structured to provide a holistic approach to grief support, encompassing various elements that cater to the emotional, psychological, and social needs of participants. Our program includes psychoeducational workshops and seminars that focus on understanding grief, managing emotions, enhancing resilience, and promoting self-care. These educational sessions equip participants with knowledge and skills to navigate their grief journey more effectively. We engage with the community through outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and partnerships with local organizations to raise awareness about grief, mental health, and the importance of supportive resources for individuals and families facing loss. Central to our program is a strong focus on mental health, recognizing that grief can significantly impact one's emotional well-being and psychological resilience. We collaborate with mental health professionals, psychiatrists, and counselors to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, screenings, and interventions as needed. Our goal is to address underlying mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complicated grief, and ensure that participants receive appropriate treatment and support. We have assisted over 412 participants who have experienced positive changes in various aspects of their lives, including emotional healing, improved coping skills, and improved mental help. Our commitment to addressing mental health alongside grief ensures that participants receive holistic care that honors their emotional well-being and fosters long-term recovery and growth.
