WGR holds a Holiday Sale each year, which provides a venue for members to see their handmade items. Members receive 75% of the sales price and WGR retains 25% to cover expenses of the sale. As a further benefit to members, WGR pays the sales taxes on the items sold.
The Weaving and Fiber Arts Center (WaFAC) offers classes in the fiber arts to the membership and to the public. Area instructors contract to teach both adults and youths. WaFAC also provides 'open studio' time in which members may use the center and its equipment to complete projects with the aid of knowledgeable instructors. WaFAC has an extensive library of weaving/fiber arts books and periodicals, which are available to all members for use during the open studio times. Design software on a designated computer is also available for use.
The WGR awards scholarships to members to allow them to attend outside classes workshops or conferences. These are supported by four different scholarship funds donated by past/previous members. WGR awarded 1 scholarship in this fiscal year, but the money was not expended during the current fiscal year.
