WellBuilt Bikes social enterprise program celebrated its sixth year operating from a retail space. We are happy to report that we were able to divert 537+ bikes from the waste stream and provided over $43,350 in charitable distribution in 24 through Earn-A-Bike and Sliding Scale Repairs. The Earn-A-Bike program provided 99 bicycles to those who would otherwise not have reliable transportation in Tampa.
Our Works of Mercy and Kinship Mobile Outreach program provided food toiletries clothes and the like to meet the needs of the community in various key locations throughout the Tampa Area. The organization distributed over 255,529 lbs of groceries to more than 13,163 neighbors at 24 distributions each month throughout the city. We partnered with other local organizations churches and residents for the volunteer teams that provide these services.
The amounts reported under Other Program Services Expenses represent expenses directly related to programs that the organization fiscally sponsors. These include direct program expenditures for the sponsored organizations that are not captured in the programs listed above. All expenses are incurred on behalf of the fiscally sponsored programs to support their mission activities such as educational workshops community outreach and charitable events. The organization tracks these costs separately and ensures that all expenditures comply with its fiscal sponsorship agreements and the IRS regulations for 501c3 organizations.
