Programs

Division of public health the overdose prevention and intervention program is serving lincoln and surrounding communities through overdose prevention, opioid use and medication assisted treatment, and narcan administration education. They coordinate with first responders, hospitals, treatment centers, and recovery networks to support people who have recently experienced overdoses in accessing services and building natural support networks. This program will serve to develop cross system navigation, education, and the required support networks needed in the community experiencing unprecedented overdose rates.
Samhsa bcor the recovery community navigation program, supported by samhsa's building communities of recovery initiative, expands peer recovery support services through collaboration with health departments, jails, hospitals, and recovery networks. The program focuses on reducing stigma and building sustainable recovery communities across nebraska, with an emphasis on rural areas. It includes harm reduction education and support to address the unique needs of these communities. Bcor navigators specifically provide direct support to individuals residing in region v of nebraska.
Wellbeing initiative, inc. Provides training and education for individuals with experience with mental health challenges. We strive to provide opportunities for success for these individuals through education and new skills taught. The training and education for providers, peer support specialists, and peers within our communities. Region v wellbeing initiative, inc. Serves as an advocate and liaison to consumers of behavioral health services, including consumers of services which are designed to lead toward wellness and recovery from mental health and substance use challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, meeting with consumers of all ages, their families, and support system throughout the region v geographic area. Kim foundation the whole health employment support and training (whest) program provides mentorship in the development of professional goals, discovery of personal strengths, and the continued building of leadership skills. Participants learn job readiness skills to support them in obtaining gainful employment.
