Double your bucks and produce boxes - provides access to fresh fruits and vegetables to community members who utilize foodshare or ebt. Ensure the infrastructure necessary to process foodshare benefits at the markets, work with local farmers to accept benefits, secure funds to provide the double your bucks component which allows people to get an additional $10 to spend on fresh fruits and/or vegetables. Available at four farmers markets in the region.
Countywide measurement - bi-annual measure of health and well-being across brown county through a survey. Assess the needs of the community and focus on ensuring a demographically representative sample. Work with researchers from uw-green bay and st. Norbert college along with project partners from brown county united way and brown county public health.
