West End Arts And Entertainment District

West End Arts District's annual keystone festivals, 'Blues, Brews & BBQ and Fiesta Alameda served an estimated 8000 people with an extended program of music, crafts, art vendors, food and drinks. Fiesta Alameda welcomed crowds of all ages to an expanded footprint on the taxiway at Alameda Point with dance and musical performances representing cultures from throughout central and south America. Blues, Brews and BBQ welcomed crowds to Washington Park with stand out performances from headliners The Dynamic Miss Faye Carol and Mark Hummel. Earlier in the year volunteer painters collaborated with the team from Twin Walls Mural Company to paint the final section of the Life of Flight mural started in 2023.

WEAD supported the work of our three local arts organizations through fiscal sponsorship, logistical and marketing support. Their work expands our mission by bringing music, dance and theater classes and performances to our local community.
