Retail. In 2024 WIDC began construction on 2 new units of for-sale affordable housing that sold or will sell to individuals or families at or below 80% of the area median income as determined by HUD.

Economic Development. To meet the needs of the community and provide economic and service retail opportunities to the neighborhood, WIDC owns and maintains 5 units of commercial real estate. One of those units is the organization's offices. For 2024 1 unit housed the field office for the construction company that rebuilt Morris Street. One is the neighborhood laundry, and the other two were vacant.

Neighborhood Development - WIDC's effort to create healthy neighborhoods that address not only housing issues, but also education, safety, health and many other issues. This program helps neighborhood residents, businesses, and community organizations get organized and involved in the neighborhood, decide on neighborhood priorities, and act on plans to drive meaningful change. Home Development - WIDC works with the Indianapolis Neighborhood Partnership and Habitat for Humanity to assist qualifying persons to obtain a mortgage loan to buy a home.
