Mission
The west philadelphia cultural alliance was established in 1984 to "stimulate community participation in the arts by cultivating an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for the arts in the greater philadelphia region. The mission expanded to celebrate the legacy of paul l. Robeson and in 1994 wpca bought the last house he lived in, and operates it as a museum. Wpca/prhm is listed on the national register of historic places, and the organization is now a leader amongst other paul robeson sites.
