To improve the viability of the local food sector statewide by building and supporting a statewide network of those involved in West Virginias food economies.

Value Added Production activites provided forcus on investment in local cooperatives and producers by helping secure equipment needed for production, commercial kitchen space, on-site markets and other support needed to expand value-added local agriculture products available around the state.
Rural Grocer Network grew out of a Health Food Financing Gratn. Locally-owned and operated grocery stores have been a cornerstone fo their communities. It is the Coalitions goal that these businesses are sustainable and sucessful and they not onlye feed their comunities but also source locally grown agricultural products.
