Mission
The Western Dredging Association WEDA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting safe sustainable dredging practices that support economic development and environmental stewardship. WEDA advances engineering and facilitates communication among industry professionals government agencies consultants and stakeholders in the dredging community providing networking and educational opportunities. WEDAs primary exempt purpose is to develop and advance scientific and technical information regarding dredging including related areas of navigation marine engineering and construction. Program Service Accomplishments for 2024: 1. WEDA organized its annual Gulf Coast Conference in Destin Florida bringing together professionals researchers and stakeholders to exchange ideas and advance dredging practices. The event featured technical sessions panel discussions and networking opportunities fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the industry.
