Western Pennsylvania Golf Association

Championships - the association was founded in 1899 to conduct the west penn open and west penn amateur. The championship program is 24 separate competitions involving 35 days per year. The association conducts individual events, usga qualifying rounds, partners competitions such as the father & son, and competitions with other golf associations.

Other - the association provides various membership services and networking opportunities with the club rep day and annual meeting outings. Seminars on club operations, rules of golf, handicapping and other topics also take place. Publications include a member club directory and club operations study. Task committees in addition to championship, membership, and handicapping include green and junior. Administrative committees include audit & finance, governance, marketing, and nominating.
