Mission

WhenWeLove works to ease the stress caused by poverty; we serve youth, single-parent families and Veterans experiencing and recovering from homelessness. It is our belief that homelessness should be temporary.

Programs

Homeless Outreach - 9,380 people experiencing and/or recovering from homelessness were served. 141 people were assisted in gaining housing. Emergency shelter was provided for 2,180 families representing 7,798 bed night stays. Cold emergency shelter was provided for 2,213 perons and their pets. 83 homeless individuals were united with family and received bus fare home. 27,830 personal hygiene kits were provided to the homeless.

Family Outreach - 763 families received furniture/household goods. 150 individuals/families received food baskets for Thanksgiving. 207 families representing 541 children recieved Christmas Assistance. 212 families received emergency financial assistance/homeless prevention/ rent assistance. 890 men/women/children received winter coats. 333 people received employment related services with 400 men and women recieving clothing for interviews and jobs.

General Outreach - 174,400 bottles of water and 48,344 sack lunches were handed out through the Water/Ice Station. 60,357 warm meals were distributed to individuals and families. 9,380 people seeking assistance were served in 2024 which is a 23% increase over 2023.

Volunteers logged over 10,728 hours of their time this year valued at $373,227. (Independent Sector Impact Value $34.79 per hour.)
