Mission

WCC Healthy Homes Program : In 2021 Oregon Legislature created groundbreaking legislation to achieve healthy home standards for low income households having below 80% AMI, and communities impacted by environmental justice factors. Whiteaker Community Council has partnered with the Oregon Health Authority to repair and rehabilitate dwellings in the Whiteaker neighborhoods to address climate and environmental hazards, ensure accessible homes for disabled residents and make repairs to ensure safe and healthy homes

Disaster Resiliency: In partnership with the CDC Foundation, OHA CERT, City of Eugene Emergency Management and EWEB: WCC's Public Health & Safety Committee has engaged and supported the community in tools to prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises with public training events, free gobag supples, gift cards from local businesses to build family resources, Map your Neighborhood training and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) enrollment.

Independent Contractor duties: Develop and manage grant programs, community outreach and education, volunteer recruitment and management, liaison with grantors, community partners and stakeholders.
