Mission

Whitman-walker institute serves as the knowledge and science arm of the health system. The institute provides clincal and public health education to health care practioners and community organizations and expresses its views on policy and advocacy issues that impact metro washington's lgbtq communities. Whitman-walker institute expands the body of knowledge needed to strengthen our program foundation of care, advocacy, research, and education. Through such learning, we empower all persons to live healthly, love openly, and achieve equality and inclusion.
