Habitat connectivity program - wild virginia increases statewide aquatic and terrestrial ecological connectivity through movement-based advocacy, collaboration, and public education focused on wildlife crossings and corridor projects. We are chair of the virginia safe wildlife corridors collaborative, focused on prioritizing crossing and corridor projects throughout the commonwealth.
Outreach and education program - wild virginia empowers others with the knowledge and skills to connect to the outdoors and to advocate for the protection of their wild places. We host informational webinars, book clubs, comment-writing parties, and other learning and community building opportunities. Of note, our clean water advocates course is an online class that equips participants with fundamental knowledge of federal and state water protection laws, regulatory processes, and basic advocacy skills.
