The Wild Wonder Foundation is dedicated to encouraging nature connection and conservation through attention, curisity, art, science and community.
Programs
3 programs
Launched two new programs- 1: The Wild Wonder Micro Grant program (with $14,990 awarded to 21 fellows in 12 countries), which supports those leading projects that bring nature journaling to new audiences; and 2: the Nature Journal Ambassador program, which provides support, resources, and materials to enable people to share nature journaling in their communities through informal talks or starting a nature journal club. In 2024, 170 Nature Journaling Ambassadors together spent 3142 hours reaching 7053 people.
Planned, promoted, and hosted two sold-out 5-day Wild Wonder Nature Journaling Retreats in California (Sierra Nevada and Point Reyes), attended by 75 people.
Launched and/or managed other major projects including building an online private community, creating a documentary film about nature journaling, and supporting children in Tanzania through grants and work with the Amani Foundation.
