Mission

The mission of the Wiley Kennedy Foundation is to actively strengthen and grow the economic and education base of the 29203 community city of Columbia Richland County and the state of South Carolina. Our focus is on economic empowerment through business development training for underserved groups housing and education. We are Building Capacity to Build Community

Programs

The Wiley Kennedy Foundations Thriving Community Health Initiative TCHI was designed to address these disparities via education counseling local resources partnerships and programs. TCHI is a network of education programs mental and physical health services substance abuse counseling and health care navigators to walk participant through the healthcare co system.

Comm Unity Festival H-Tax- Program designed to encourage increase visitation to the Columbia area. The Festival continues to attracted a large number of participants to the central region allowing them to explore the many amenities Columbia and its neighboring counties and communities have to offer.

Courage Center: The Wiley Kennedy Foundation partnered with the Courage Center to bring addiction recovery programs to families in Richland County. The Foundation supported with recruitment training for staff and the meeting space.

John Stockley: Former Educators John Shockley and family provided fund to the Wiley Kennedy to support public school teachers. They had firsthand experience of the difficulties teachers experienced. The Foundation worked with area schools provide a Teacher Appreciation meal and school supplies for all teachers

Community Coalition Fellows State: The Coalition of Community Fellows promotes the pursuit of social justice and encourages. students to develop the commitment and ability to work toward a more just society. The full participation of all citizens in Americas society .

Diabetic Education A special emphasis was placed on diabetes since zip code 29203 has the largest number of amputees from diabetes.

Voter Education: Expand community knowledge about issues affecting zip code 29203 the state and the nation at large. Participated in voter registration events to increase the voice of the community.
