Lead appalachia is a state youth conference designed to inspire, educate, and empower north carolina's youth through immersive leadership experiences that address workforce development, mental health, and substance use prevention.

The change wagon is a youth-led workforce development program and community food truck that provides young people with hands-on experience in culinary arts, customer services, and community engagement while ensuring everyone in wilkes county has access to healthy, affordable meals. Operating on a pay-as-you-can model, the food truck allows all community members to enjoy nutritious food regardless of their ability to pay.
