Williamson Farm Bureau

Agriculture leadership activities the williamson county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.

Youth leadership development williamson county farm bureau supports youth agriculture organizations both financially and with volunteer hours. The organization is a primary sponsor of the williamson county ffa and 4-h banquet at an area high school. The wcfb also sponsors a farm day at a local farm where elementary school children learn the importance of farming and where their food and fiber comes from. The williamson county farm bureau sponsors a little ones farm at the williamson county fair, this is a booth where kids can have an interactive experience with farming and agriculture.
