Bone & Joint (Orthopedics):The Orthopedics Department at Windham community Memorial Hospital offers the community a full range of services, including Hand and Upper Extremity, Total Joint Care, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and Advanced Imaging. As a member of Hartford HealthCare Corporation's network, the hospital has access to the integrated health network's recognized expertise, ongoing research studies that evaluate new treatments and one of the nation's top training centers for robot-assisted surgery. Windham Community Memorial Hospital surgeons are the first in Windham County to Utilize Mako robotic arm-assisted technology for total hip and knee replacement. Heart and Vascular:Windham Hospital is a 130-bed, not-for-profit acute care community hospital providing state-of-the-art comprehensive medical services, personalized attention and care. The hospital is a member of the Hartford HealthCare Network which includes Hartford Hospital. Hartford HealthCare is Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network.If you're a cardiology patient facing a battery of tests and procedures like EKG, stress tests or even diagnostic catheterization, your comfort and convenience is important. Windham Hospital offers world-class clinicians and state-of-the-art technology for comprehensive cardiac care including heart function screening and other studies, as well as oversight and administration of drugs and other therapies to improve heart function. The hospital is a member of the Windham Hospital patients can receive advanced care such as bypass and transplants at Hartford Hospital. Emergent transfers to Hartford Hospital can occur in less than an hour via LIFE STAR. Heart & Vascular Services Provided at Windham Hospital: Echo, Electrocardiogram, Full Outpatient Device Clinic, Holter and 30-day Event Monitoring, Pacemaker Insertion and Follow-up Care, Stress Testing, & Vascular Testing Arterial. At the completion of FY24, the Division had 9,125 cases with an average length of stay of 3.3 days.
Committed to excellence in quality and service for the region, Windham Community Memorial Hospital boasts a state-of-the-art Emergency Department that consistently ranks in the highest percentiles of customer satisfaction. The Hospital also offers convenient and modern satellite services including two Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinics and a Center for Women's Health offering mammography, bone density, and integrative health.There are on-campus support services for patients of Windham Community Memorial Hospital including a Cardiac Rehabilitation Center and Lipid Clinic, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Pain Management Services. Community education is an important component of Windham Community Memorial Hospital's vision to improve the health of the community. To achieve this goal - diabetes education, childbirth education, integrative health services, cancer support groups, and ongoing community health forums are offered.
