Facilitate the education of policy makers, health care consumers, providers and purchasers about the concept and method of health services delivery by health plans; monitor and evaluate proposed legislation and administrative rules affecting the operation of health plans; advocate health plan industry positions to the legislature and state agencies; and enhance communication among members of the organization concerning government affairs strategies and messages.
