Mission

To provide an instrumentality through which the members of the concrete pavement industry may coordinate their efforts in the handling of problems of common concern to the industry: to establish and to maintain the highest standards of business practices, customs of the concrete pavement industry; to represent and act for the industry before all divisions of government, and those public and private organizations whose work affects the concrete pavement industry and its members as may be more satisfactorily performed by a group rather than by an individual action; to conduct educational, research, and trade promotion, activities, including advertising and publicity, and to engage in any lawful activities which will enhance the efficient and economic progress of the concrete pavement industry and apprise the public of its scope and character.

The wisconsin concrete pavement association promotes and markets the use of concrete pavements and provides engineering and technical services for highways, airports, county roadways, and city streets. The wisconsin department of transportation is the association's main focus as it is responsible for all interstate and state highways as well as all airport facilities in wisconsin. In addition, the association worked with over 10 county highway departments and over 15 cities in wisconsin on the design and construction of concrete pavement projects.

The wisconsin concrete pavement association holds conferences, technical meetings, produces literature, maintains a website, and purchases technical and promotional literature from the american concrete pavement association, the portland cement association, and the national center for concrete pavement technology. The association hold its annual large two-and-a-half-day technical conference in february 2024. It is open to all state, city, county, and consulting engineers in addition to the members of the association. Over 300 attended the event in 2024. In addition, the association hosted, supported, and attended over 25 different conferences and short courses during the year to advance the engineering, science, and technology of concrete pavement and associated concrete products. Over 100 meetings were held during 2024 with the wisconsin department of transportation (dot) for the purpose of working on engineering, technical issues and research projects regarding dot standards, specifications, or specific construction projects.
