To spread the reach of the first program through wisconsin to provide k-12 student opportunities to develop skills in stem, business, teamwork and real world problem solving.

Hosted a first tech challenge certified professional development training with a total of 31 attendees. The event concluded with 19 certified teachers/mentors, created or sustained 14 middle school first tech challenge teams, and concluded the year with one certified first tech challenge professional development trainer to support local training in the future.

Successfully coordinated and supported three first robotics competition kickoff events and two first robotics competition regional events. These events were coordinated by 265 unique volunteers, which allowed over 1,390 students to be supported across 66 teams. In addition to supporting the wisconsin teams and students, between the two regional events there were 25 out-of-state teams who attended the competitions, impacting another 600+ students.

THE MISSION OF OUR ORGANIZATION IS TO ENSURE ALL PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS ACROSS THE STATE OF WISCONSIN HAVE ACCESS TO THE FIRST SUITE OF PROGRAMS. FIRST WISCONSIN FOCUSES ON EXPANDING AND SUSTAINING FIRST TEAMS AND PROVIDES GUIDANCE, SUPPORT, AND INSPIRATION TO STUDENTS, MENTORS, AND VOLUNTEERS. IN ADDITION TO THE EFFORTS AROUND INCREASING THE NUMBER OF TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, FIRST WISCONSIN COORDINATES THE HIGH-ENERGY, EXCITING, AND DYNAMIC COMPETITIONS, THAT PROVIDE STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEST THEIR INNOVATIVE STRATEGIES, TEAMWORK AND ROBOTIC CREATIONS IN A HIGH-PRESSURE ENVIRONMENT.
