Mission
The primary purpose of wissahickon community aquatic club ("wcac") is to provide a competitive age-group swimming program to youth living in and communities adjacent to the wissahickon school district.
Programs
3 programs
Usa swim team: wcac has a year round program and team registered with usa swimming. The usa swimming program offers swimmers more varied and challenging events than the suburban aquatic league. Swimmers who are part of this program train from september through july and participate in wcac meets in the suburban aquatic league as well as usa swimming sanctioned meets in both winter and summer seasons.
Winter diving team: the wcac offers a competitive diving team to divers ages 4-18 as part of the winter competition season. The diving team competes and earns points for wcac as part of the suburban aquatic league.
Swim clinics & lessons: wcac strives to promote the sport of swimming and runs clinics and group lessons to teach new swimmers the basics of swimming. The goal of the clinics and lessons is to prepare swimmers with skills required to compete on the winter swim team once mastered. Clinics and lessons are offered from february through june by wcac and are open to the community as well as winter team members.
