Mission
The purpose of Women in Jazz Association is to perpetuate the appreciation and performance of traditional jazz vocal and instrumental music. As vocal jazz is a declining art form, this purpose is charitable - the protection and preservation of a valuable art form called jazz; that is, vocal jazz. It is through concerts, educational workshops, and performance opportunities of singers that provide the means to the end - perpetuate vocal jazz music.

Uplift Jazz for Seniors Concert Series: (1.) Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Bastrop Community Senior Center in collaboration with Heal Alliance & Central Texas and Health Wellbeing Network. Free concert for seniors. (2.) Monday, Apil 1, 2024 at UPLIFT Jazz for Querencia Senior Living at Barton Creek. (3.) Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Vizcaya Senior Community Center. (4.) Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Conley-Guerrero.
2nd Annual Women in Jazz Festival at Austin PBS on September 21 & September 22, 2024. This program included significant expenses for artist fees, space rent, audio sound and lighting, promotions, project management, travel and accommodations, and 9 headliner performers over the two day period.
