The women in manufacturing education foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on supporting the educational and training needs of women in manufacturing careers. The education foundation currently funds projects and programs that directly impact the education and advancement of manufacturing women.
Programs
3 programs
Virtual learning series in 2024 the women in manufacturing education foundation delivered monthly 60-minute virtual learning webinars for their members as part on an ongoing virtual learning series. A total of 6,285 people registered for the program in 2024. Average registration remains at over 500 participants each month. All of the monthly virtually learning sessions are recorded and available on-demand year-round by members. Online recorded programming had 1,986 views in 2024.
Management development program (mdp) this program provides new and aspiring supervisors, managers, and team leaders who have three or less years of experience with training to develop skills that are necessary for managerial success. In 2024, 61 people participated in the mpd program. With expanded class sizes, the program facilitated disc skills assessment. Graduation rates have increased from 75% to over 90% for this program.
Leadership institute for women in stem and manufacturing (liwsm) wimef partners with case western reserve university's weatherhead school of management to produce the liwsm program. In 2024, 20 participants graduated from the program. The comprehensive curriculum includes topics ranging from negotiations, influence, and effective communication to managing multiple levels of strategy, and the programming includes coaching, peer mentorship, and a facilitated skills assessment.
