Womens Center For Entrepreneurship Corp

WCEC received an award from the NJ Department of Corrections and developed a program to deliver entrepreneurship education to court involved women in the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility or those who have recently been released from prison.We conducted 2 cohorts of a 8 week series of workshops to a total of 15 clients.

We conducted our annual pitch competition, where 5 clients out of 27 applicants received coaching on how to deliver their pitch to a room full of 70+ decision makers and community leaders. This was the soft launch for these client businesses, and they received feedback as well as cash prizes to support their businesses.
