Mission
The mission of the wood library-museum of anesthesiology is to advance anesthesiology by preserving and sharing its hertiage and knowledge, to be the foremost anesthesia library-museum, and preserve our heritage to advance our future.
Programs

Interactive historical exhibits: the museum features an interactive timeline and curated exhibits that highlight major milestones in anesthesiology. These displays help educate the public and medical community about the evolution of the specialty.
Education and engagement: wlm produces and archives oral histories, lectures, and videos, including the living history project and lewis h. Wright memorial lecture, to preserve the voices and experiences of anesthesiology pioneers. It continues its support of the paul m. Wood fellowship, fostering historical scholarship and ensuring the field's legacy is passed on to future generations.
