Mission
Our mission is to provide inclusive and accessible opportunities for individuals of all ages skill levels and backgrounds within the Greater North Houston Community to engage in dance and the performing arts. We offer a range of educational and performance-based programs that encourage creative expression personal growth and cultural enrichment. Recognizing that dance is a physical discipline and a means of fostering emotional and mental well-being our organization is committed to cultivating an environment where participants can build confidence strengthen self-esteem and develop a sense of community and belonging. Through structured instruction public performances and community outreach we aim to promote physical fitness lifelong wellness and an enduring appreciation for the arts
Programs

In January we took 15 dancers to perform in 5 nursing homes assisted living facilities and senior living facilities over 2 weekends. February: 3 of our WDT dancers and 1 of our instructors facilitated a line dancing demonstration and instructional session for a local charter schools Rodeo Night Fundraiser. March: Held a fundraiser performance for one of our instructors who was injured and had to have surgery. 20 dancers participated in the event. April: 15 dancers and 3 instructors performed at the Waterway Arts Festival June: Time Travelers performance at Owen Theater. 6 dancers performed at a children and moms event Mamapalooza. November: 35 dancers performed at the Woodlands Childrens Festival. One of our WDT students auditioned and performed in the Ballet Brazos Nutcracker. December: All WDT dancers participated in an in-studio showcase for friends and family.
