To assist in sustaining the tradition of theatre while contributing to the lives of local artists, to enrich the community by encouraging people of all ages to participate in the arts, and to create opportunities for its surrounding community by providing quality, entertaining, educational, and affordable programming for all ages.

The woodlawn academy instructed 400 children in 6 summer camps teaching them all the aspects of theatre and acting. Three paid teachers were involved in the instruction and 4 productions were staged in the summer featuring the children for a total of 11 performances. 4 productions were staged in the winter and spring for a total of 15 performances.
