World Day Of Prayer Usa

The organization was formed to promote, strengthen and facilitate ecumenical fellowship and services among women throughout the usa; to promote greater understanding between women of various races, cultures and traditions; to receive, adapt, translate and distribute resources for local communities; to receive and determine the use of funds for the purpose of supporting a national and worldwide movement of christian women of all traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first friday of march, and to collaborate with other women's organizations, national churches and councils of churches wherever possible to promote world day of prayer purposes in the usa, particularly among denominations and ecumenical communities.
