Xavier university offers student services which contribute to the student's emotional and physical well being as well as intellectual, cultural and social development outside the context of formal instruction. These services include student government, residential life, student involvement, career services center, office of multicultural affairs, intercollegiate affairs, recreational sports, retail services, dining services, campus police, and others.

Academic support includes the operation of the library, the conaton learning commons and division of information resources. In addition to the resources in the library collections, the facilities provide study, lounge, conference, instruction space, technologies, and services to help students master essential skills and gain a competitive advantage in their respective disciplines and careers.
