The ywca mohawk valley's sexual violence services and child advocacy center of herkimer county provides 24-hour crisis, advocacy and counseling services, as well as support and information to child and adult sexual violence victims and secondary victims within the geographical boundaries of herkimer county. In 2024 we served 262.

The ywca mohawk valley's community education program provides domestic and sexual violence prevention education throughout herkimer and oneida counties to increase awareness among students (kindergarten-college) regarding prevalence, impact, and where to go for help if needed. Information addressed includes bullying, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual abuse/assault, and sexual harassment. In 2024 we served 8,452.

The ywca mohawk valley's residential program includes hall house - a 16-bed domestic violence shelter, lucy's house - a 6-bed domestic violence safe dwelling, rapid re-housing, and safe horizons - a transitional housing program for homeless victims of domestic violence. All services provided are free and confidential. In 2024 we served 186.
