The yakima humane society is committed to ending animal suffering and cruelty, reducing animal overpopulation, and educating the public regarding pet ownership while promoting kindness and commitment to their welfare

Spay and Neuter Services: YHS provides low-cost spay and neuter services for qualifying individuals throughout Yakima and Kittitas County. We also ensure all animals that come into the shelter are spayed or neutered before being adopted. In addition, we perform weekly spay/neuter clinics for feral cat colonies in Yakima.

Community Education and Outreach Services: YHS provides education and outreach via print and electronic communications, as well as public speaking presentations at community events, schools,chamber meetings, civic and social service organization meetings, fundraising events, local media, and networking opportunities throughout Yakima Countys business and nonprofit community.
