Programs
1 program
Yarmouth chamber of commerce programs that support local businesses and the community include business after hours, breakfast and lunch events, a golf tournament and a holiday party. A portion of funds received support local scholarships. The chamber hosts the spririt of excellence awards: this program recognizes outstanding non-managerial employees from local businesses and non-profits in yarmouth. It is a formal event (reception) in which nominees are honored for criteria such as outstanding commitment, serving as a role model, and contributing significantly to their organizations success. The event includes nomination processes, sponsorships, publicity, and the reception. It serves to build morale, foster recognition of the workforce, and strengthen connections among businesses and their employees. Each year, the yarmouth chamber of commerce awards scholarships to graduating seniors from yarmouth high school and north yarmouth academy who demonstrate academic excellence achievement, community involvement, and an interest in business or related fields. The program is funded through chamber fundraising initiatives and direct contributions from local businesses. Its goals are to support local youth in pursuing high education, foster leadership in the next generation of professionals, and strengthen ties between the business community and yarmouth schools. The application process is managed in collaboration with ysh and nya guidance department, and awardees are recognized at a community event or through chamber communications.
