The Art Farm comes to YCS This Animal Science class gives children the opportunity to spend time with live animals, virtually, and develop the important science skills of observation, classification, and communication.

Center for Architecture program Students receive in-class instruction from instructors from the Center for Architecture. The Center for Architecture shares a home with the AIA New York Chapter and has the unique advantage of drawing upon the ideas and experiences of practicing architects to produce thought provoking exhibitions, informative public programs, and quality design education experiences for K-12 students.

Creators Workshop Students explore and create with various art materials. Students will be encouraged to explore materials through all senses and sing and read stories related to their creations.

92nd St. Y Young Leaders Program Students receive 15 real-time in school lessons with a 92NY Teaching Artist. Students attend 3 live performances in 92NYs Kaufman Concert Hall. Through lively classroom sessions with their dedicated Teaching Artists and attendance at exhilarating performances at 92NY, students will learn about the origins, traditions and contemporary practice of music and dance. The 92NY performances will feature NYC-based rising stars of the music and dance worlds.

New York Historical Society program Students receive 5 weeks of instructional sessions: How does geography shape history? Over the course of the year students use a combination of maps, authentic touch objects and images of works of art and artifacts from the New-York Historical Societys collection to learn how the geography of an area can define a community, and how a community can change the geography of a place over time.
