Mission: eliminating racism and empowering women. 1. Ywca changed its by-laws from a membership organization to a directorship using guidelines provided by the national ywca. 2. Ywca provides 24/7/365 days a year services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence (67 beds). Currently, we are the only shelter in the city of detroit and one of the oldest in michigan.
