Your Harvest House

Through the Harvest House Financial Aid Program, clients can apply no more than once every twelve months for help with rent/mortgage, utilities, and urgent expenses. In order to qualify for financial aid, families must provide documentation to verify that their income falls below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines and that they reside within the Harvest House service area. Returning clients check-in biannually, and we assess how to further reduce financial and emotional stress. In addition to basic needs, we partner with more than ten local organizations to connect clients with services such as financial counseling and employment guidance. We aim not only to provide aid for local residents but also to walk alongside them as they regain financial and emotional stability. In 2024, we provided $123,727 toward payments for 296 families.

Through the Harvest House Resale Store, low-to-moderate income families that qualify financially can receive store vouchers that can be used for clothing and household items. Families with children can receive extra vouchers in preparation for the start of school. The Resale Store, which is also open to the public, brings in much needed funding each year. The organization also gets revenue from the recycling of donated goods. In 2024, clothing vouchers totaling $628,556 were provided to 2,769 family members.

The Getting Ahead Program is a 16-week Bridges Out of Poverty class where participants assess their resources and build strategies for stability. The first cohort graduated five individuals in 2025The Holiday Friends Program provides Christmas gifts to children of client families. Registered parents receive tickets by age group and select unwrapped toys organized by staff and volunteers. In 2024, we provided 402 gifts to 145 families.
