Mission

YEHS owned and managed properties provide low-income housing.

Programs

1 program

Rental property management and maintenance services were provided to two real estate partnerships in which YEHS is a partner. These entities provided housing to 170 low and moderate income individuals and families. One partnership is a Section 8 project-based development housing 32 low-income families. The project has 12 4-bedroom townhomes, 12 3-bedroom townhomes, and 8 2-bedroom flats. YEHS partners with Humanitri, a local charity, to transition families from homeless shelters to longer-term transitional housing. Other tenants are long-term Soulardians. YEHS developed this project to help preserve an economic mix during Soulards gentrification. YEHS was also the developer/sponsor of the Allen Market Lane Apartments that provides rental units for the elderly with HUD rental assistance. This project was the first warehouse conversion to residential in the State of Missouri in 1979.
