We cultivate musical excellence and a spirit of cooperation in young musicians throughout California's Central Valley. We are committed to principles of access and excellence, and strive for comprehensive inclusiveness. We approach racial and cultural equity by providing resources that allow and encourage young musicians to participate on an equitable footing with one another. We seek to privilege all youth equally.

The Youth Orchestras of Fresno experienced a year of growth and renewal, marked by the hiring of a new Executive Director who introduced fresh ideas and a dynamic vision for the future. With concert attendance rising, a newly established scholarship endowment, grant acquisition and moving to a larger office space to accommodate future expansion, the organization made significant strides in its development.The orchestra presented three main concerts throughout the season while also showcasing its talents at special events. On October 15, 2024, the Youth Philharmonic was featured at the Fresno State Cello Festival, performing alongside distinguished guest artists Daniel Akiva and Brinton Averil Smith.The first major concert of the season took place on December 3, 2024, featuring a program that included Schuberts String Quartet in C Major, Beethovens Symphony No. 1, Dvorks Carnival Overture, Op. 92, and Beethovens iconic Symphony No. 5.On February 18, 2024, the "Love Conquers All" concert delighted audiences with a performance by guest pianist Peter Klimo, who played Rachmaninoffs Piano Concerto No. 2. The program also included Stamitzs Orchestra Quartet in F Major, Khachaturians Spartacus Suite No. 1, and John Williams score from Raiders of the Lost Ark.The season concluded on May 19, 2024, with a finale featuring Holsts St. Pauls Suite No. 2, Schuberts Symphony No. 3, Prokofievs Symphony No. 5, and an audience favoritemusic from Pirates of the Caribbean by Klaus Badelt.
