Ywca delaware's economic empowerment programs serve more than 800 delawareans each year and are designed to help families improve their financial stability and achieve long-term economic security. These programs address the wealth gap and economic disparities by offering a continuum of financial education, housing counseling, and workforce readiness services. These programs serve low-to-moderate income individuals, targeting barriers to economic mobility including poor credit, lack of savings, and limited access to housing or stable employment. Services are delivered through a coordinated set of programs that include: homeownership education and counseling: ywca delaware hud-certified housing counselors provide one-on-one housing counseling for pre-purchase readiness and foreclosure prevention, with access to resources and workshops designed to build financial knowledge and reduce housing insecurity. Financial coaching: participants receive personalized coaching to improve budgeting habits, reduce debt, build savings, and strengthen credit. Coaches work collaboratively with clients to develop actionable financial plans that support long-term goals. Workforce readiness and financial literacy workshops: the program offers workshops focused on employment retention, career development, digital literacy, financial goal-setting, and consumer awareness. These sessions are conducted in partnership with financial institutions and local service providers. Youth development workshops: ywca delaware youth programming equips participants ages 11 - 18 with practical life skills, leadership development opportunities, and strategies to support long-term wellbeing. Through workshops and peer-based group activities, youth build social-emotional competencies, learn to navigate challenges, and engage in conversations that promote civic awareness and personal growth. Programming includes evidence-based curricula focused on topics such as self-esteem, decision-making, healthy relationships, violence prevention, financial literacy, and future planning. Delivered at partner sites and ywca locations statewide, the workshops foster resilience, critical thinking, and a commitment to healthy, productive choices through trusted adult support, goal setting, and community connection.

Sexual assault response center (sarc) the sexual assault response center (sarc) provides comprehensive, free and confidential sexual and domestic violence services to survivors aged 12 and older and their non-offending family members, friends and partners throughout the state of delaware. Through the 24/7 crisis helpline, aftercare case management and counseling services, sarc is committed to providing healing, hope and empowerment to individuals whose lives have been impacted by sexual and domestic violence whether the assault happened yesterday or many years ago.accomplishments: more than 5,491 individuals were served through sarc's helpline, aftercare case management and counseling services. 100% of victims received emergency advocate intervention to facilitate trauma recovery and 97% of callers to the helpline felt empowered to make decisions during their recovery.

Community engagement - ywca's community engagement program helps individuals develop the awareness, willingness and tools to drive change in themselves and the institutions we all share. We advocate for community action, public policies and practices that improve economic security, health and safety for individuals and their families.
