The Racial and Social Justice Program - The YWCA San Gabriel Valley (YWCA-SGV) has continued the mission to eliminate racism through internal and external efforts centered on racial and social justice (RSJ), equity, social change, and systems change. Internally, this initiative has produced nine (9) RSJ staff sessions, where staff members engaged with information on social determinants of health, empathy, compassion, and ways to interject this content into service delivery. There was also an all-staff training, with two national trainers facilitating a full-day training entitled Reshaping our Social Conditioning in Community. Both the RSJ staff sessions and all-staff training had 80% participation from the approximate 100 staff members. See Schedule O for further details.
