YWOW strives to provide a safe environment to men and women who have lost their loved ones too early in life. We offer unique mutual support, bereavement resources, and social events in order to help members rebuild their lives, dreams, and identities.

YWOW Academic Scholarship Fund - No applications received / No awards made. This fund provides a grant to any active YWOW member that wishes to continue their higher education. To qualify, the applicant must be an active YWOW member and be enrolled in an educational program at a four-year university, or a community college, or a technical school. The scholarship award is paid directly to the institution.
0YWOW Hardship Fund - A member applied for the funding after an extensive accident that put her out of work for several weeks. We provided a check directly to the landlord to pay a portion of the rent to allow her to stay in her home. This fund provides for a one-time grant to any active YWOW member that has a bona-fide need above and beyond the normal day-to-day expenses. Eligibility for the YWOW Hardship Fund are: 1) The applicant must be an active YWOW member, 2) The award is provided in the form of a check or gift card. 3) The applicants needs must be verifiable. 4) Funds are limited to the YWOW Hardship Fund. and 5) Previous recipients are ineligible. YWOW has helped its members with co-pays, eye exams, auto repairs, electric / water bills and even bought groceries for its members in need.
