Solid waste management (swm): the project will provide on-site follow-up assistance to achieve qualified sampler certification, sampling for exceedances or other thresholds suggestions for further delineation or possible public health precautions; remote assistance to improve financial sustainability of the utility or decrease clear public health risks associated with utility operation and management; address deficient honey bucket collection services and reduce health risks or toxics; and implementation of standardized protocols and shipping out hazardous wastes. Trainings include: 1. State of ak workshop in a box rural waste utility training; 2. State of ak operator safety, backhaul training; and 3. Two qualified sampler trainings.

Hazardous materials: inform and instruct rural communities on the proper disposal of hazardous materials.
