Online education - as a grassroots organization with a distributed membership model, online education remains a cornerstone of zioness programmatic strategy. In addition to leveraging their website, learning management system, and platforms like zoom, zioness has expanded its focus to include robust training series designed to equip members with the skills needed to confidently engage in the field. These trainings prepare leaders to have constructive, values-driven conversations, stand proudly as zionists in progressive spaces, and build meaningful partnerships rooted in mutual respect and shared goals.
Rapid response - rapid response programmatic efforts are focused on addressing unfolding civic issues in real time. This includes issues impacting the jewish community directly, such as acts of antisemitism. It also includes issues impacting other communities directly, such as acts of anti-black racism. The organizations programming in response to these events will vary, but includes public statements, private partnership outreach, internal member engagement and education, and public events.
In-person events - in order to help expand awareness of zioness, its mission, and the causes it supports, zioness programming includes many events each year. These events occur in person and online and are designed as an onramp to the organization and its work. At times, these events may focus on issues of of concern to the jewish community. Oftentimes, these events are designed to help members deepen their understanding around the issues facing other marginalized communities. This could involve panels, speeches by zioness leadership, virtual webinars, and social gatherings.
