Mission

Zora's house is the only coworking space and leadership incubator in the state of ohio created by and for women of color (woc). Our mission is to create a safe space for woc to establish meaningful, supportive relationships with other women in their community; develop a deeper practice of self-care, resiliency, and emotional intelligence; and successfully incubate their creativity, scholarship, entrepreneurship, activism, service, and leadership. Since being founded in 2018, zora's house has helped over 5,000 women of color: incubate their businesses, scholarship, creativity, and activism; activate their leadership in their families, communities and workplaces; build deeper support networks and connect with mental health resources; navigate job losses and other economic fluctuations; and gain financial empowerment and confidence.

Additionally, zora's house has facilitated 636,697 of direct economic impact in new jobs, promotions, contracts and funding for its members since 2021; and in 2024 our women of color owned markets supported over sixty-five woc artisans and entrepreneurs, generating 60,000 in revenue.

Racial equity zora's house - the first and only community space and leadership incubator in ohio created by and for women+ of color - works to dismantle barriers of systemic racism and sexism, and to ensure the full participation of women+ of color in the civic, economic, and cultural life of franklin county. Since 2020, our black feminist night school has reached over 2000 women+ of color and allies and our woc equity design institute received a 1.5m investment from jpmorgan chase and has trained 60 equity design practitioners in our community.
