He ccia research center published data and analytics, economic research studies, and surveys to provide both industry and policymakers with data on critical issues affecting the connected economy. The research center produced dozens of studies and analyses covering topics including: evaluating the potential negative consequences of proposed remedies in antitrust cases; how the neo-brandeisian "merger tax" reduced startup acquisitions, lowered exit multiples, increased shutdowns, and constrained venture capital returns; and estimated the economic costs of abuse of dominance standards at the state level. The association was also at the forefront of emerging technology research championing for credible, evidence-based ai research to expand and strengthen the association's advocacy at the federal, state and local levels. The research team also released several shorter pieces focused on the potential implications of specific policy proposals.
