$210KFood 4 kids:our food 4 kids program provides weekend meal boxes to 47 long beach schools so that students and their families have enough food to eat over the weekend. We distributed 14,785 boxes for a total of 285,491 pounds and 237,814 meals.
Program 2
$102KFood hub/community marketplace:the food hub is a refrigerated shipping container located in admiral kidd park on the westside of long beach. We distribute the 4th saturday of each month. In 2024, we served 2,641 households with 152,577 pounds of food. This was an 123% increase of households served from 2023. In april of 2024 we began a distribution from the hub on wednesdays. We called this our pop-up distribution. From april through december we distributed 271,399 pounds of food.
