Initiatives in latin america and the caribbean: latin america and the caribbean remain at the heart of iyf's mission. In 2024, the organization transformed the lives of 55,923 young people, generating an estimated $2.76 billion usd in lifetime income increases.in mexico, the equipyouth program, supported by the caterpillar foundation, prepared 30,391 students across 62 high schools for it and advanced manufacturing careers, achieving a 74.5% job placement rate and training 528 instructors.the green generation mx program, supported by the tk foundation, designed and piloted three green-skills curricula - data science, energy efficiency, and ev production - reaching 513 youth with a 66% job placement rate. The initiative will scale to 17,000 youth across mexico over the next three years.juventudes, supported by the hilton global foundation and conrad n. Hilton foundation, reconnected vulnerable youth in mexico city to education and employment, achieving 98% of its goal, with 72.7% pursuing further education and 57.3% securing employment.

Initiatives in sub-saharan africa: since its founding in 1990, iyf has continued to support young people across sub-saharan africa to secure meaningful employment and lead the green and digital transitions. In 2024, iyf programs in south africa, ethiopia, kenya, and nigeria equipped thousands of youth with the technical, digital, and socio-emotional skills needed to thrive in the changing world of work.in south africa, the high gear initiative - implemented in partnership with the department of higher education and training and the national association of automotive component and allied manufacturers - successfully concluded after transforming the technical and vocational education and training (tvet) landscape. The program aligned six major engineering courses with industry needs, developed south africa's first electric vehicle (ev) competency framework, and fostered 19 partnerships between tvet institutions and the private sector.across the region, iyf also continued implementing the skills for success program, supported by google.org, which has empowered young women in kenya, nigeria, and south africa with it and cybersecurity training. Over 8,600 youth women have benefited from these efforts, with 69% job placement rates across digital career pathways.

Initiatives in the middle east, north africa, and asia: in 2024, iyf strengthened employability and youth leadership in countries across the mena and asia regions. The propel youth and gender project continued to advance gender equality and health rights, promoting youth-led advocacy and systems change.meanwhile, the burberry inspire program expanded its creative hubs across asia and europe - including hong kong, japan, south korea, and italy - providing safe spaces for over 200,000 youth to develop their creativity, confidence, and leadership.through these initiatives, iyf continues to empower youth across continents to lead social transformation, equipping them to take control of their futures, shape their economies, and drive sustainable development.
